This type of MSA V-Gard Advance standard slotted hard hat consists of a polyethylene shell and Staz-On Suspension that work together as a protective system. Advance Caps meet or exceed all requirements for a Type I helmet (top impact) as defined in ANSI Z89.1-2003, Class E and G. Not specifically designed to protect against lateral blows from the front, side, or rear.
Cautions:
- MSA's Vanguard Type II protective helmets are so designed and must be used if lateral protection is desired
- Do not mix suspension and helmet size. Make sure the sizes match use only MSA suspensions on an MSA caps or hats. Failure to comply will reduce the energy-absorbing ability of the protective hat or cap.
- Use only MSA suspensions on an MSA helmet. Failure to comply with the above will reduce the energy-absorbing ability of the protective helmet, which can result in serious injury or death
- V-Gard Caps and Hats are not specifically designed to protect against lateral blows from the front, side, or rear
